KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the project in terms of planning, oversighting and delivery of all estimating outputs.
Study civil, structural, architectural (if any), MEP (if any) and all engineering drawings and specifications.
Prepare detailed Bill of Quantities outlining all individual components required to construct the project.
Preparation of independent cost estimates (preliminary and detailed) to the required levels of accuracy
Liaise directly with design leads (civil, structural, architectural (if any) and MEPFS (if any) engineering works) in the verification of designs and the preparation of quantity take-offs from drawings.
Liaise with suppliers and contractors as required for compiling materials and construction costs.
Prepare cost comparisons for alternatives design schemes to assess viability of options. Provide recommendations on cost effectiveness
Maintain material suppliers’ database for estimating purposes.
Preparation of DUPA (Detailed Unit Price Analysis), if required.
Review of the BOQ/method of measurement and support any subsequent close-out actions
Technical Audit of items that may be assigned by the Project Manager
RECOMMENDED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
A recognized quantity surveying qualification with a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience on measurements and cost estimating of construction contracts.
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Must have excellent analytical thinking skills and problem solving abilities
Willing to accept Project-base status
Willing to be assigned in Manila
