We're seeking someone to join our FP&A team as a Quantitative Strategist.

The candidate will be part of an exciting strategic initiative to completely renovate the framework and models through which revenues and balance sheet are forecast by the Firm. The focus will be initially on the framework but in the long term it will evolve in a fundamental improvement of the forecasting models through ML and AI. The role will involve interacting with the broader strat team, the BU (Corp FP&A) and IT organizations spanning the IST/FinTech divide.

Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis (Corporate FP&A) leads firmwide planning and forecasting, management reporting and strategic analyses to support decision-making across the Firm’s global businesses. The team partners closely with business-line Finance, Controllers, Treasury, Capital, Risk and Investor Relations, and regularly supports materials for Firm leadership, the Board and regulators.

This role is within our Financial Planning & Analysis Job Family which is responsible for the firm’s budget, forecast, internal management reporting and financial analysis to provide insight into the firm’s current and expected financial performance, as well as expense allocation.

In the Finance division, we act as a partner to business units around the globe by providing management, review, analysis and advisory services of the Firm’s financial and capital resources.

What you'll do in the role:

  • Work with BU to understand the fundamentals of revenue forecasting, the ultimate goal and discuss models and results
  • Develop forecasting model in the new platform and participate in fundamental architecture design
  • Manage IT effort to take models to production
  • Collaborate with model risk throughout model lifecycle.

What You’ll Bring to the Role

  • Degree in a quantitative subject and experience in a strat role, familiarity with the RICE/Optimus framework a clear advantage
  • Coding experience, ideally in Scala/C++
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal), including the ability present analysis in a structured, concise way
