We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Quant investment specialist

Purpose of the role

We’re looking for a Quant Equity Investment Specialist to help shape and grow the internal and external profile of our Quantitative Equity platform. You’ll support asset growth by developing differentiated investment messaging and content, delivering market and portfolio insights, and driving projects and campaigns in partnership with portfolio managers, distribution and other key stakeholders.

In this role, you will:

  • Leverage existing investment networks, channels and tools to increase awareness and visibility of quant equity capabilities as well as shape and develop new and differentiated investment content.
  • Compile and provide regular market insights to internal stakeholders and senior leaders to build up in-depth investment portfolio insights.
  • Fully support and collaborate with Senior Investment Specialists to shape a compelling investment offer whilst contributing as a thought leader in quant equity conversations and investment strategies.
  • Develop a strong narrative for the quant equity platform in collaboration with the investment managers and provide effective and transparent communication with our sales teams and other vital internal stakeholders.
  • Support investment governance and documentation for the Quant capability, including coordination of key forums/oversight activity and maintaining accurate records to support regulatory and internal standards.
  • Help manage the Quant Equity business and operating rhythm, creating efficiencies and supporting strategic/BAU initiatives through automation, improved data quality across systems, and cross-team coordination.
  • Engage with a wide range of people and cultures as befits a global role.

To be successful you will:

  • Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline. able to demonstrate success in equity investment management, equity research, or investment specialist role is essential
  • Working knowledge of quantitative equity concepts is preferable (e.g. factor investing, systematic portfolio construction, risk/return and basic risk models, performance attribution) with the ability to communicate these clearly to internal stakeholders.
  • Exposure to a variety of investing topics and knowledge of sustainability frameworks and standards. possess strong interpersonal skills that engenders a ‘Trusted Advisor’ status within a varied stakeholder group is essential
  • Demonstrate sound commercial acumen with the ability to analyse, interpret and distil complex and varied data into easily digestible content is essential and excellent written and verbal communication skills with evidence of contributing to commercial papers.
  • Automation and efficiency mindset: experience using tooling and/or approaches to streamline content/data processes (e.g. workflow automation, dashboards, data pipelines, AI-assisted content generation and controls) and partnering with technology/data teams to improve scalability.
  • Having a professional certification as a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), or similar qualification, such as a CPA would be beneficial and Waterfall lifecycles, with hands-on use of tools such as Quality Centre and Jira.
