Job Description

Lead analytics to identify opportunities, optimize strategies, and deliver impactful insights across business functions.

As a Quant Analytics Manager within Consumer & Community Banking team, you will be responsible to drive the development and execution of our analytics roadmap and governance, identify revenue and expense opportunities, develop advanced analytics on merchant date. By collaborating across business areas, operations, and technology teams, you will define and deliver scalable analytical solutions. Your role is vital in shaping the strategic analytical agenda, driving innovation, and optimizing our strategies through data, analytics, and Machine learning.

You will provide a comprehensive view of data to all levels of stakeholders across multiple functions, forward-thinking, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and implement solutions that propel Chase forward.

Job responsibilities

  • Leverage our data to scale our ability to optimize transaction based economics including interchange revenue, network expense and other revenue streams and identify revenue opportunity through deep analysis
  • Work in conjunction with finance, legal and other functional partners to craft financial business case, deal constructs and other key terms associated with partnership
  • Drive excellent practices and technical standards to support the development KPIs and goals for the card business, developing information suites (Dashboards, reports, visualizations) fit for business consumption
  • Partner closely with internal/external team to drive understanding of the data and its use in their business area and across line of business
  • Understand and master a broad range of analytics capabilities (Test design, Modeling, NLP analysis, etc.) and how to best apply them to business problems

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelors in Science in a quantitative discipline - Statistics, Math, Finance, Economics, Operations Research, etc.
  • 5+ years of analytical and industry experience in credit card, T&E retail, direct marketing, financial or other consumer orientated businesses, that capture and leverage a large transactional database
  • Minimum 5 year of experience in advanced programming language (SQL, SAS, R, Python, Alteryx), relational database (Oracle/Teradata) and visualization tool (Tableau) skills to create/manage/analyze complex and large data sets
  • Exceptional analytical, technical, and statistical skill. Ability to synthesize/analyze diverse information, develop and recommend strategies, and make decisions
  • Considerable background in business analysis, excel based financial modelling, understanding of P&L and data mining
  • Deep analytical skills including understanding of common financial statements and ability to build financial models in Excel
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; possessing the ability to convey complex information - simply and clearly - to senior business leaders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize work requirements across a multi-disciplinary team setting.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Masters in Science in quantitative discipline or MBA preferred
