Job Description

As a QualityCommissioning Lead at Linesight, you will work with highly experienced, culturally diverse, and passionate teams nurturing a strong social dynamic and a shared sense of achievement. You will gain vast industry experience that will open doors for you, extend your skillset and expand your perspective. We will empower, support, and enable you to take real responsibility in your role so that you can take charge of your career progression with us. For us lasting trusted relationships are everything, both with our teams and our clients.

The Opportunity

In this role you will:

  • Lead the overall quality management and commissioning programme for a large-scale data centre development, ensuring alignment across multiple EPC work packages and four operational facilities.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously enhance the programme-level commissioning execution framework, including integrated testing methodologies that support phased capacity handovers.
  • Establish governance, procedures, and performance standards for quality assurance, quality control, testing, commissioning, validation, and project turnover activities.
  • Manage the complete commissioning lifecycle from planning and readiness reviews through equipment energisation, systems verification, integrated testing, client acceptance, and final project closeout.
  • Provide leadership and oversight to site-based QA/QC and Commissioning Leads, ensuring a consistent approach to reporting, issue resolution, compliance, and delivery across all buildings.
  • Coordinate activities of the independent Commissioning Agent and client-appointed commissioning teams while maintaining required governance, reporting structures, and stakeholder transparency.
  • Chair commissioning readiness assessments and evaluate operational preparedness ahead of key milestone handovers, providing recommendations to programme leadership regarding system acceptance.
  • Support and oversee testing activities including factory inspections, pre-functional and functional testing, site validation, systems integration exercises, and operational demonstrations.
  • Attend project reviews, workshops, and stakeholder meetings to monitor progress, identify risks, resolve challenges, and communicate impacts to relevant parties.
  • Conduct regular site audits and inspections to assess workmanship, contractor performance, compliance with project requirements, and commissioning progress.
  • Drive alignment between contractors, consultants, vendors, and client representatives to ensure successful delivery of quality and commissioning objectives.
  • Monitor programme scope, schedules, budgets, interfaces, dependencies, and project risks, implementing mitigation strategies where required.
  • Promote continuous improvement by identifying industry best practices, innovative technologies, and opportunities to improve quality, reliability, and cost efficiency.
  • Manage project-wide quality processes, including technical queries, defect tracking, non-conformance management, and corrective and preventative action programmes.
  • Perform periodic compliance reviews and audits to verify adherence to contractual obligations, industry standards, regulatory requirements, and financing commitments.
  • Ensure all commissioning and quality-related deliverables, records, certifications, and documentation are accurately controlled, traceable, and retained throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide regular updates to senior leadership and project stakeholders on commissioning status, quality metrics, programme risks, milestone achievement, and overall project performance.
  • Serve as the key escalation point for commissioning and quality matters, working closely with the client, EPC partners, consultants, authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs), vendors, and other critical stakeholders.
  • Operate with a high degree of autonomy while contributing to the successful execution of the wider Data Centre Commissioning Programme.

We'd love to hear from you if you:

  • Have significant experience leading commissioning and quality programmes on mission-critical facilities, hyperscale data centres, industrial plants, or other technically complex infrastructure projects.
  • Possess strong technical knowledge of electrical and mechanical critical systems, including UPS, switchgear, generators, cooling infrastructure, and associated testing and commissioning practices.
  • Have a proven track record developing commissioning strategies, testing protocols, validation procedures, integrated systems testing programmes, and phased handover methodologies.
  • Demonstrate strong project delivery capabilities across planning, scheduling, risk management, quality assurance, stakeholder engagement, and programme controls.
  • Have experience managing EPC contractors, specialist vendors, commissioning consultants, and multidisciplinary project teams in a high-performance delivery environment.
  • Hold a degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline, or possess equivalent relevant experience.
  • Are an effective communicator and leader, capable of influencing stakeholders, driving accountability, and building strong collaborative relationships.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about delivering exceptional outcomes through teamwork, transparency, and operational excellence.

Please note that this role will start on a contract engagement and will be based onsite.

All interviews are conducted either in person or virtually with video required.
