Quality Test & Incoming Inspection Supervisor

Location: Wendell, NC (On-site)

Role Summary

Siemens Smart Infrastructure is seeking a Quality Test & Incoming Inspection Supervisor to lead three critical quality functions within the PACS manufacturing facility: LV MCC final testing, MV Retrofit final testing, and incoming material inspection.

This role is responsible for leading technicians and inspectors, ensuring safe and compliant operations, maintaining product and material quality, driving execution against production schedules, and supporting continuous improvement. The supervisor will partner cross-functionally to resolve quality concerns, develop employee capability, and ensure products and materials meet established requirements before release or use in production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead quality test technicians and incoming inspectors to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity objectives.
  • Oversee LV MCC testing, MV Retrofit testing, and incoming material inspection activities.
  • Assign work based on priorities, qualifications, workload, and operational requirements.
  • Ensure products and materials meet drawings, specifications, procedures, and quality standards.
  • Monitor quality performance metrics and drive corrective actions.
  • Lead containment and escalation of product, supplier, and material quality issues.
  • Maintain accurate test, inspection, training, and nonconformance records.
  • Support employee development through coaching, training, qualification, and cross-training initiatives.
  • Drive continuous improvement in testing, inspection, documentation, and quality processes.
  • Partner with Engineering, Operations, Procurement, Supplier Quality, Logistics, and Production teams to resolve issues and improve quality outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with EHS requirements, quality procedures, and electrical safety standards.

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing quality, electrical or electro-mechanical operations, production testing, inspection, incoming quality, supplier quality, troubleshooting, or a related technical environment.
  • 2+ years of experience leading, supervising, coaching, training, or directing technicians, inspectors, quality personnel, or manufacturing employees.
  • Experience in at least two of the following:
  • Electrical testing
  • Final inspection
  • Incoming material inspection
  • Nonconforming material management
  • Supplier quality
  • Product release processes
  • Manufacturing quality systems
  • Experience using test data, inspection records, production reports, KPIs, or defect metrics to support operational decisions.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, specifications, bills of material, or work instructions.
  • Experience using calibrated inspection and measurement equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work on-site in Wendell, North Carolina.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology, Electronics, Mechatronics, Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in electrical manufacturing, electro-mechanical manufacturing, manufacturing quality, incoming inspection, or supplier quality.
  • 3+ years of direct people-management experience.
  • Experience with end-of-line testing, final electrical testing, incoming inspection, or outgoing product quality processes.
  • Experience with low-voltage motor control centers, medium-voltage equipment, switchgear, switchboards, industrial control panels, or power distribution products.
  • Experience with electrical testing methods such as continuity, insulation resistance, Hi-pot, micro-ohm, Lo-pot, and functional testing.
  • Experience with supplier quality programs, nonconformance management, material disposition, or corrective actions.
  • Experience applying RCA, CAPA, 8D, A3, 5-Why, or similar problem-solving methodologies.
  • Experience with ISO 9001, calibration systems, audits, NCR/MRB processes, or quality management systems.
  • Experience with SAP, ERP, MES, QMS, Power BI, SharePoint, Salesforce, or similar business systems.
  • Experience supporting factory startups, production transfers, product launches, or manufacturing expansions. </:::writing>

The pay range for this position is $68,830 - $117,994 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
