Job Description

Main responsibilities:

Safety

  • Stands for safe working and actively promotes the guidelines and associated behavior
  • Contributes to continuous improvement in terms of safety, cleanliness and quality
  • Compliance with company rules and regulations in the areas of safety, environment, quality and working conditions
  • Addresses employees on company rules, especially in case of non-compliance
  • Participates in all required safety training
  • Carries a responsibility as an emergency responder

Maintain and improve QA process

  • Perform QA assessments, make actual capability per team visible and drive Shift Leaders to continuously develop their team members to learn how to judge and test our products.
  • Ensure valid test procedures in QA department, resulting in acceptable Gage R&R. New test methods must be validated to be relevant for the intended characteristic.
  • Ensure proper working test equipment through maintenance and calibration. Replacement or new test equipment to be validated for adequate functioning and to be added to the maintenance and calibration programs.
  • Ensure a well organized QA room, demonstrating lean and quality for our internal workforce as well as for our visitors

Complaint notification officer

  • Coordinate complaint handling process and push progress, track complaint status
  • Create overviews of complaints per department, per type, per cause, per customer
  • Create historical trending of complaints
  • Keep complaint information up to date on the shop floor publication boards
  • Inform and discuss about complaint analysis findings with shop floor
  • File complaint information

Maintain and improve the quality knowledge and awareness of our operators

  • Develop and provide quality-related trainings for new employees as well as follow up for existing employees
  • Define and take quality assessments
  • Instruct every new employee on our expectations with regard to quality
  • Frequently use communication means to keep quality awareness at a high level (e.g. monthly newsletter, info screens, bulletin boards, email, etc.).

Maintain and improve the quality level of our suppliers and third parties

  • Perform supplier and third party audits on quality, report out findings
  • Train and instruct suppliers and third parties on quality requirements
  • Assess capability of (new) suppliers and third parties to meet requirements on quality

Job Requirements

Minimum qualification

  • Successfully completed an apprenticeship in a chemical role. Bachelor degree is a plus
  • A minimum of 2-5 years relevant experience in a quality environment
  • Industry background is open but with a preference for non-woven/paper industry
  • Relevant experience in managing quality projects and processes
  • Fluent in German and English. Additional languages are a plus
