
As a Quality Technician III, you will be providing hands-on technical support to manufacturing operations. In this role, you will troubleshoot electrical and mechanical components, oversee inspection and testing activities, and collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain teams to ensure product conformance and process stability.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys coaching others, solving complex quality problems, and driving continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment.
As a Quality Technician III, a typical day might include the following:
Operate measurement equipment and assist with the implementation of tests to monitor quality using engineering principles.
Provide technical support to internal/external customers and clarify product or material quality requirements.
Conduct material inspection and testing in alignment with industry standards and interpret results under the guidance of an engineer/scientist.
Troubleshoot and characterize electrical and mechanical components based on data sheets and drawing specifications.
Manage identification, containment, or evaluation of nonconforming parts/products and initiate action.
Assist with facilitation of cross-functional teams and work with suppliers to address quality issues.
Assist engineers/scientists with data gathering and analysis related to component and process quality.
Train support area staff and Quality personnel, as needed.
Follow and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.
This job might be for you if you have:
A 2-year technical degree, technical certification, or equivalent training combined with relevant work experience
6+ years of experience in electronics, materials quality, or manufacturing
Functional knowledge of test and inspection techniques, instruments, and measurement equipment
The ability to monitor and maintain calibration of tools and test equipment
The ability to interpret and apply industry standards and SEL Engineering Requirements
Experience using quality tools and techniques to solve problems
Working knowledge of mechanical drawings, data sheets, specifications, and materials
Working knowledge of sheet metal, printed wiring boards, adhesives, plastic components, etc.
The ability to understand, document, and communicate technical results
The ability to maintain high standards for inspection and documentation
Effective written, documentation, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Two-year STEM degree
Working knowledge of analog and digital electronics and electronic circuits
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift 40 lbs
Ability to sit or stand for at least 8 hours
Ability to pull weight from high/low places
Ability to differentiate color
Ability to perform repetitive tasks

Pay Range Data - $40.50 - $59.85 per hour
We set starting pay based on job-related factors such as your experience, training, knowledge, and skills. We are looking to fill this position at the Quality Technician III level, and we welcome applicants with a range of experience. Depending on your background, we may consider you for a different level, with compensation aligned accordingly.
