Technique is looking for a Quality Technician to join our team at our Jackson, Michigan facility. This position reports to the Quality Manager in the Quality department. The Quality Technician 1 will inspect and measure components and finished products to determine compliance with engineering requirements, create and maintain records, data, and metrics for quality assurance, and assist with dispositioning nonconforming product. This role also develops procedures and processes for quality system compliance, leads quality and continuous improvement projects, and works with customers and vendors on quality-related issues in coordination with account managers and the purchasing department.
The ideal candidate brings an associate’s degree in engineering technology or a related technical field, with three to five years of hands-on quality control experience in manufacturing or engineering. Beginning knowledge of GD&T, experience in an ISO 9000 environment, and proficiency with inspection equipment such as PolyWorks laser inspection, CMM software, micrometers, calipers, and optical comparators are highly valued. Strong root-cause analysis skills, excellent communication abilities, and a detail-oriented, multi-tasking mindset are critical factors in this role.
Position Type and Expected Hours:
This is a full-time non-exempt position with a minimum of 40 hours per week, with overtime as needed. Days and hours required may vary. Flexibility is required.
