Job Description

The Quality Technician at Selux Corporation is responsible for inspecting product build quality on lean manufacturing lines, with a strong focus on first article builds and in-process inspections. This role ensures Selux products meet engineering specifications, workmanship standards, and quality requirements by performing inspections, recording accurate data, and communicating findings to production, engineering, and quality teams. This position plays a critical role in supporting Selux’s commitment to precision, consistency, and continuous improvement.

Salary: $18-22hr

Monday - Thursday 6am - 4:30 pm. 4 day work week.

Responsibilities

Inspection & Build Verification

  • Perform first article build inspections on new, revised, or transferred product builds
  • Inspect in-process and completed assemblies on lean production lines
  • Verify conformance to engineering drawings, bills of material, work instructions, and quality standards
  • Identify and document nonconformances; support immediate containment as needed
  • Validate workmanship, fit, finish, and functional attributes of products

Data Collection & Documentation

  • Accurately record inspection results and measurement data
  • Complete first article build reports, inspection checklists, and quality documentation
  • Enter data into Selux quality systems, databases, or spreadsheets
  • Maintain organized, traceable, and auditable quality records

Collaboration & Communication

  • Work closely with production associates during first article builds
  • Communicate quality issues, trends, and risks to Quality, Production, and Engineering
  • Support problem-solving, root cause analysis, and corrective action activities
  • Assist with updates to inspection criteria, control plans, and work instructions

Qualifications

  • Experience in a lean manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with first article inspection processes
  • Knowledge of basic quality concepts (tolerances, defects, nonconformances)
  • Experience with ISO-based quality systems
  • Prior experience supporting production lines or build validation
