Eaton’s ES GDCS DIT division is currently seeking a Quality Technician - 1st Shift in Woodridge, IL.

The hourly rate for this position is $21.00 per hour.

Core hours are 5:30am-2:00pm

What you’ll do:


Primary Function:

The Quality Technician evaluates and tests electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems and components on EATON UPS systems and related products. This role involves technical analysis, evaluation, and testing to resolve quality issues raised by customers and product returns, The Quality Technician interacts with all levels of personnel, including Quality Engineers to assist with any necessary troubleshooting of failures, performing stock audits, or performing receiving inspections on incoming material.

Essential Functions:

1. Use Quality Assurance Methods to find reasons for product failure
2. Works with various levels of personnel to troubleshoot failures
3. Technical analysis of Quality issues raised by customer returns or complaints
4. Effectively reporting inspection details
5. Explaining the methodology of evaluation and troubleshooting efforts
6. Perform Stock Audits and incoming material inspections

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• High School/GED
• Intermediate computer/typing skills and working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook
• Ability to speak and read English.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associates of Science in technical field, preferably related to electrical engineering technology.
• Familiar with quality assurance methodologies such as non-conformance reports, root cause analysis, discrepant material reports, inspection sampling plans, first article inspection and stock audit plans
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings, schematics, datasheets, and written work instructions.
• ASQ CQT certification or actively pursuing certification.
• Knowledge of analog design, video, mechanical and digital skills
• Knowledge of printed circuit board design and layout
