About Good George Brewing
Founded in 2012 in a converted church in the heart of
Hamilton, Good George has grown into much more than a brewery. We are a
nationally recognised, market-leading brand with a presence across multiple
sectors and throughout New Zealand.
Our Hamilton brewery is the beating heart of our operation,
producing a wide range of beverages in kegs, cans, and our signature glass
squealers. Since 2019, we’ve expanded into distilling gin and whisky, which is
now a core part of our business.
We’re focused on the future - continuously improving
sustainability, supporting our team, contributing to our community, and
refining our processes to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
We’re a passionate team driven by craft, creativity, and
community - and we’re looking for someone who shares that spirit.

One evening over a couple of beers a bunch of friends talked about creating their own beer brand and brewery to show people what great beer can be and convert drinkers from the mass produced and chemical laden norm... it was at this moment that Good George was born.
The talk became reality when in 2011 they found a great location in the heart of Frankton, Hamilton and converted the old St George’s church into the Good George Brewery.
Good George has now grown to a team that includes 5 brewers. The recent addition of a bottling and canning line has allowed us to take Good George Brewing to the next level!
At Good George we share a common mission – ‘to create better beer moments’. Good George encourages drinkers to explore the awesome new world of beer and cider, show them how best to enjoy it, and have a bloody good time in the process.
