Job Description
The Supervisor.Fiberglass.I will direct the Quality team at Fiber Glass Systems L.P.'s Giddings, Texas tank manufacturing facility. This role ensures the facility’s Quality Management System (QMS) is fully operational, drives continuous improvement, and guarantees adherence to customer, internal, and regulatory standards across all processes.
- Supervise daily activities of the quality team.
- Maintain and continuously improve the facility QMS in line with ISO 9001 and ASME RTP-1
- Ensure all products meet customer specifications and internal quality criteria.
- Support internal audits, conduct root‑cause analyses, and lead corrective‑preventive actions (CAPA).
- Monitor and enforce compliance with federal, state, and local safety and environmental regulations.
- Lead incident investigations and drive preventive measures.
- Coordinate with production, engineering, and supply chain to resolve quality issues.
- Prepare and present facility quality performance metrics and reports to senior management.
- Facilitate training programs for staff on quality and safety best practices.
- Manage documentation control and record retention for all quality activities.
- High School diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or higher degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years QC/QA experience in manufacturing, including 1+ year in a lead/supervisory or trainer role (or equivalent demonstrated leadership)
- Proven knowledge of ISO 9001 standards.
- Strong leadership and team‑building skills.
- Excellent problem‑solving and root‑cause analysis abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in QMS software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to travel occasionally to other company sites or customer locations.
- Experience with reinforced plastics is highly desirable, as is familiarity with ASME, ASTM or other industry related codes and standards.
