CAS is seeking an experienced Quality Supervisor to support and enhance its Part 145 Repair Station, and its AS9110 Quality System. This role will support the Quality Manager with overseeing the daily operation, ensuring that quality control and quality assurance standards are met during the performance of maintenance on our Part 121 customers’ aircraft.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise daily quality operations to include performing inspections, audits, and surveillance.
Ensure compliance with its AS9110 Quality Manual, and CAS’s Quality Management System (QMS)
Ensure compliance with federal aviation regulations, including FAA and EASA
Ensure compliance with customer contracts and agreements.
Ensure adopted ISO 9001 and AS9110 standards are being applied and maintained.
Perform oversight of inspection program, to include evaluating and coaching inspectors
Perform internal audits, create and manage corrective actions, perform root cause analysis and ensure continuous improvement initiatives.
Participate in customer and regulatory audits.
Perform oversight of vendors and contractors performing work on-site.
Interface with customer maintenance and quality representatives
Ensure policies, processes, and procedures are being followed and maintained.
Train and mentor inspectors and quality personnel to ensure consistent performance and professional development.
Ensure completeness and accuracy of maintenance related records
Ensure continuous improvement of people, process, and procedures.
Gather, analysis, and track data on operational performance to include generating reports
Help drive a culture of quality, safety, and accountability
QualificationsRequired:
Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate.
Strong understanding of FAA Part 145 Air Agency Certification operations and regulations.
5 + years of quality assurance and quality control experience within Part 145 and or Part 121 maintenance and repair operations.
5 + years of experience with Part 121 Air Carrier maintenance.
5 + years of experience with ISO 9001, AS9100, and QMS.
5 + years of experience auditing, performing root cause analysis, and developing corrective actions.
3 + years of experience with structural or airframe repairs
Ability to properly read and interpret technical drawings, industry guidance, and aviation regulations.
Strong communication, leadership, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
Preferred:
ISO 9001 or AS9100 internal auditor certification.
Prior supervisory or lead experience.
Degree in aviation
