As the Quality Specialist - Batch Release Coordinator you are responsible for managing the release of finished goods produced at the Glendale facility, ensuring all products meet Nestlé standards as well as all applicable regulatory requirements. In this role, you will also oversee the identification, tracking, and disposition of non-conforming goods, ensuring proper processes are followed to maintain compliance and uphold product quality.

RESPONSBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the overall management of finished product release.
  • Accountable for the consolidation and final review of product batch reports to ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
  • Control product stock status based on batch report reviews.
  • Build and manage SAP/GLOBE/SensIT inspection plans, production disposition, quality reports, training, and master data requirements
  • Support Sensory program as needed with training, One Cup tastings and Monthly Update & Growth meetings (MUGs)
  • Build and manage DMO modules including MMS/NCC/CLP, support training for all modules.
  • Utilize Cority modules including QA events, Audits, Document Control and MOC, support training all modules
  • Lead Internal Audits in accordance with ISO22000 criteria.
  • Track, monitor and make determinations on product and material non-conformance.
  • Ensure proper documentation, recording, preliminary review and filing of product batch reports.
  • Communicate to key functional areas with issues or concerns regarding finished product release.
  • Review product batch reports for release decision based on compliance with HACCP, Quality and Regulatory norms.
  • Track and monitor non-conforming products to ensure correct handling, stock status, and disposition.
  • Deploy, track, and manage corrective actions and after-action reviews for defects and non-conforming good events.
  • Participate in a cross-functional team in root cause analysis and corrective action for non-conformance events.
  • Ensure and demonstrate compliance for product and batch records during internal, external, and regulatory audits.
  • Develop SOPs and train on site digital quality systems
  • Develop SOPs and train for electronic data/record (CFR 21 part 11) and proper written documentation.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree preferred - Business, Food Science, Chemistry, or Biology degree.

EXPERIENCE

  • Two years’ experience in the food, dairy, pharmacy, or beverage industry
  • Aseptic experience preferred but not required
  • One year of training experience is required
