Autoliv is committed to saving more lives by delivering uncompromising quality in vehicle safety systems. As a Quality Senior Manager for Cluster 3 at Autoliv EMEA, this position involves coordinating quality activities across our plants in Hungary, Turkey, Spain, South Africa, and Estonia. The role reports directly to the Director of Operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a high-performing quality organization aligned to business objectives, including hiring, coaching, and performance management.

  • Define, implement, and govern global & regional quality strategies, policies, and standards to ensure compliance with automotive regulations, customer requirements, and industry best practices.

  • Drive product and process quality across the lifecycle—from development (DFMEA, PFMEA), validation and production to service parts—by working closely with R&D, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality and Customer teams.

  • Oversee quality planning activities: control plans, inspection plans, measurement system analysis (MSA), statistical process control (SPC), and capability studies.

  • Manage supplier quality performance including supplier selection, audits, development plans, and escalation of critical supplier issues.

  • Own quality KPIs and reporting—quality cost, PPM, customer complaints, scrap/rework—and drive continuous improvement initiatives to meet or exceed targets.

  • Ensure product conformity through internal audits, external certifications, and regulatory compliance activities.

  • Collaborate with global stakeholders to ensure quality requirements are integrated into contracts, change management, and launch plans.

  • Represent Quality in customer meetings, problem resolution, and business reviews, acting as the primary escalation point for quality-related customer topics.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality Management or related technical discipline.

  • Minimum of 8–12 years of progressive quality experience in the automotive or safety-critical manufacturing industry, including leadership experience.

  • Proven track record with quality systems (IATF 16949, ISO 9001), product safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

  • Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, DFMEA/PFMEA, SPC, MSA, and structured problem solving (8D, A3, DMAIC).

  • Experience managing supplier quality programs and conducting supplier audits.

  • Excellent analytical skills, data-driven decision-making, and experience with quality reporting tools.

  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills; able to influence at all levels including executive leadership and customers.

  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.

  • Fluent in English and Hungarian; it's a must; additional languages are an advantage.

What We Offer:

  • A meaningful role focused on saving lives through superior product quality and safety.

  • Opportunities for professional growth, leadership development and cross‑functional collaboration in an international environment.

  • Competitive compensation and benefits in line with experience and responsibilities.

  • A supportive culture that values inclusion, continuous learning, and innovation.
