This Quality and Reliability Engineer (QRE) is responsible for driving high volume manufacturing (HVM) quality performance to meet quality expectations through cultivating quality culture and ensuring appropriate quality business processes, systems and tools are in place and continuously improved.

This Quality and Reliability Engineer (QRE) is responsible for driving Solidigm products Outsource Design Manufacturers (ODMs) and Contract Manufacturers (CMs) to meet quality expectations through cultivating quality culture and ensuring appropriate quality business processes, systems and tools are in place and continuously improved.

Additionally, the engineer is responsible for ensuring ODM/CM suppliers and quality excursions are managed well during both NPI and HVM stages. In this role, the QRE will be required to conduct ODM/CM site assessment/selection and own ODM/CM site/line certification by working with stakeholders to drive quality system readiness systemic gap closure prior to product qualification.

During high volume manufacturing, the QRE is expected to train the ODM/CM on Quality Operating Systems QOS expectations, perform quality data analysis and monitor quality performance through quality review forums, various ODM/CM factory audits, manage quality excursions and drive continuous quality improvement initiatives.

In this role:

  • you are required to work independently to conduct line audit, drive quality initiatives, systemic engineering solution to ensure early detection, lead quality excursion, perform technical Q&R risk assessment and quality data analysis and support various value engineering program.

  • respond to customer/partner requests or events as they occur.

  • required to work with NPI key stakeholders including engineering and operation teams in supporting package and module certification.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

  • BS or MS degree in engineering + 5 years' relevant industry experience

  • Demonstrated experience leading quality technical problem solving teams

  • Understanding of process control systems (PCS) and FMEA

  • Ability to be self-driven and work in a multi-cultural environment with respect and good teamwork.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Direct working experience with ODM in a quality and reliability function

  • Experience with manufacturing or testing of Non-volatile memory devices

  • Experience with or knowledge of silicon fab and assembly manufacturing
