About the job

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as a Quality Professional, Siemens Mobility. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the highest standards of quality across our projects. You will act as the primary interface with customer quality teams, oversee the implementation of project quality, and provide expert guidance on quality-related subjects.

* This job requires frequent travel 50%-50% to sites.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish, implement and update quality plans and relevant QC forms in accordance with contract requirements and Siemens processes.
  • Review and validate the subcontractors' quality plans
  • Perform quality control inspections on-site and checks on equipment, materials, and services (Siemens or subcontractor scope) to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards and prepare inspection reports.
  • Implement quality control procedures to maintain a comprehensive Quality Management System.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the project teams on quality control issues.
  • Ensure control of quality documents and records on-site.
  • Ensure the project team uses the latest version of documents, ITPs (Inspection and Test Plans), and construction drawings.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers and subcontractors to address quality issues and develop corrective actions.
  • Ensure proper traceability and maintenance of records for monitoring and measuring devices.
  • Provide quality awareness for planned installation activities and, if necessary, organize quality training for the project team.
  • Accept or reject products according to work instructions and stop installation activities in case of defects requiring mandatory rework.
  • Conduct continuous improvement activities and manage NCRs for non-compliant products/processes.
  • Support QM and PM in reporting quality KPIs and in identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Support project audits (internal/external) upon request.
  • Stay up to date with industry standards, regulations, and best practices in QA/QC.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Civil Engineering (railways, roads and bridges, or civil, industrial, construction)
  • Previous technical experience; minimum of 5 years in quality control
  • Fully familiar with ISO 9001 and internal audit processes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in English and MS Office
  • Driver’s license: Category B
