Job Description

Eaton’s ES AMER MFGSC division is currently seeking a Quality Operations Manager. The position will be based at our Beachwood, Ohio facility or remote within the U.S. Preferred Eastern Time Zone and close proximity to a major airport. The position will require 25% travel.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $146000 - $215000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you’ll do

The primary function of this position is to lead, facilitate and coordinate the activities to deliver performance levels that exceed Customer expectations and maintain their satisfaction, for the ES Americas region.

The position will be responsible for driving standardized processes across ESA, driving digitization and the us of AI analytics, achieving the stated goal of zero-defects quality performance, CONC to better than World Class Levels and Management Systems that support the Business needs of the organization.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the activities to drive performance that exceeds customer expectations, owning functional strategies that align ES stratagies to achieve the goal of zero-defect quality and CONC to World Class Levels.
  2. Accountable for driving continuous improvement in Quality Management System, working to ensure the standards of EQMS, ISO9001:2015, IATF16949, AS9100 etc and deployed and maintained in our sites, as required. .
  3. Accountable for driving performance improvements in all internal quality performance metrics.
  4. Lead the digitization of processes and practices, use of AI analytics and other thought leading activites
  5. Overall ownership of the High Severity Customer Quality Escape Process (HSCQE) for ES EMEA. Ensures timely escalation / communication of customer escape incidents, and coordinates with Division, Plant Quality and Supplier Quality colleagues to ensure appropriate containment and root cause preventive actions are undertaken with the utmost urgency. Provides on-site team support, as appropriate.
  6. Represent ESA in the Corporate EQMS committee, ensuring the needs of ESA and our customers are captured in any coporate QMS initiatives.
  7. Collaborate with other Eaton functions to maintain accurate performance indicators, taking specific ownership of the accuracy of quality related metrics such Customer DPPM, CONC, Supplier DPPM, etc.
  8. Work with all sites and divisions to identify gaps in operating performance, find the root causes and drive to improve the performance of those sites.
  9. Develop, maintain, and advance processes, policies and procedures and lead efforts to standardize and deploy best practices identified across the organization. Provide input to influence corporate/sector/group quality policies and procedures associated with supplier quality management systems.
  10. Builds organizational capability across the quality function. Ensures deployment of Eaton’s quality functional excellence tool set.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in quality, manufacturing or engineering

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Plant Quality Manager experience
  • Experience leading teams or as a direct manager of people
  • Experience working with Hyperscaler customers
