Job Description

1 REPORTING RELATIONSHIP

Reports to the Quality Manager.

2 PURPOSE

2.1 Function

2.1.1 Provide support to Quality Department by collecting, organizing, and generating reports from various inspection and manufacturing data, and maintaining historical records of same.

2.2 Authority

2.2.1 Ensure organization and format of related data and distribution of assigned reports.

3 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

3.1 System Maintenance.

3.2 Maintaining Quality Files:

3.2.1 Blueprints

3.2.2 Correspondence

3.2.3 QPR Log Maintenance

3.2.4 Material Specifications

3.2.5 Defect History

3.2.6 Warranty Data Entry

3.2.7 Customer Return Database Maintenance

3.3 Reports:

3.3.1 Monthly PPAP status report (customer and supplier).

3.3.2 Monthly outgoing quality.

3.3.3 Daily, Weekly, Monthly QPR Report.

3.3.4 Other special projects and reports as assigned.

3.3.5 Daily, Weekly, Monthly Containment Reports

3.3.6 Daily, Weekly, Monthly Customer Defect Reports

3.4 Presentation development.

3.5 Other duties as assigned.

4 MEASUREMENTS/COMPETENCIES

4.1 Organization of responsible areas.

4.2 Accuracy of reports.

4.3 Timeliness.

4.4 Communication.

4.5 Internal Audit performance of responsible areas.

5 SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITY

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

6 WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job operates in a professional environment, as well as a manufacturing environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment. This role also is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

7 QUALIFICATIONS

7.1 High School diploma or equivalent.

7.2 Two years’ experience in office environment, preferably manufacturing facility.

7.3 Proficient in MS Office, to also include AS400.

7.4 Strong math skills.

7.5 Good organization skills.

7.6 Good communication skills.

7.7 Self-motivated.

8 PHYSICAL DEMANDS

7.1 Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

7.2 Must be able to lift 20 pounds at times.

8.3 Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.

9 POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This is a full-time position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday. This position may require extended hours and possible weekend work.

10 TRAVEL

Travel to vendor and customer worksites may be required.
