Job Description

An established aerospace and defense manufacturer in Arlington, TX is hiring a Quality Manager to take ownership of its quality program. This role is a great fit for a Quality Supervisor, Quality Lead, or Quality Engineer who’s currently working under a Quality Manager and is ready to step into the title.

You’ll report directly to the General Manager and be the go-to person for quality across the plant.

Position: Quality Manager

Location: Arlington, TX (on-site)

Job Type: Direct hire, full-time

Pay: $75K+/yr, will pay more depending on experience

Schedule: Monday to Thursday 7:30am to 5:00pm, Fridays 7:30am to 12:30pm

What you’d be doing:

• Maintaining and improving the AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality system
• Leading internal, customer, surveillance, and recertification audits
• Running corrective actions, root cause investigations, and nonconforming material reviews
• Staying hands-on with incoming, in-process, and final inspections
• Reading drawings, tolerances, and specs, and supporting first article inspections
• Managing calibration of gauges and measuring equipment
• Making sure ITAR-controlled drawings and data are handled and stored properly
• Serving as the main contact for customer quality concerns and supplier quality
• Working closely with production to cut down on scrap and rework

What they’re looking for:

• 3+ years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment
• Hands-on experience with AS9100 and ISO 9001
• Experience maintaining a certified quality system and supporting or leading external audits
• Working knowledge of ITAR
• Solid with CAPA, root cause, document control, and blueprint reading
• Self-starter who’s comfortable owning quality at a smaller company and splitting time between the floor and the office
