As the Quality Manager, you’ll be Dyson’s early warning system for product reliability in Korea. You’ll analyse data on product failures, repairs, and customer feedback to spot patterns, prevent repeat issues, and keep customer satisfaction high. Your work will also support teams in Australia & New Zealand (ANZ) and Southeast Asia (SEA).
Main responsibilities include but not limited to:-
Review weekly data on part usage, repairs, and returns to pinpoint issues
Analyse call centre and service data; use Pareto analysis to flag and prioritise the most common failure modes
Investigate market concerns about product or service quality and escalate as needed
Work with design and engineering teams to recommend and realise reliability improvements
Arrange collection and analysis of failed samples; share findings and drive resolution
Track online customer reviews to uncover design strengths and weaknesses, sharing insights with global teams
Collaborate with the Data team to improve reliability reporting tools (e.g. Tableau)
Audit new products before release to catch potential issues early
Join launch readiness reviews with customer service teams, ensuring smooth launches
Monitor customer feedback in the early launch phase, quickly identify problems, and collaborate on corrective actions
Keep market and leadership teams informed about reliability trends and escalations
Support aftersales, sales, and marketing to align initiatives with customer needs
Act as the go-to reliability expert for Korea, sharing regional knowledge with global RDD teams
Track Cost of Quality and develop strategies to reduce costly exchanges and improve service compliance
Represent the Market Quality team on cross-functional aftersales projects
To be successful in this role, you will be a strong communicator who is able to influence teams and explain technical details simply, in English and Korean. You will be a strong organiser, able to juggle multiple tasks and priorities and comfortable switching between hands on tasks and big picture planning.
Previous skills & experience:-
Degree in Engineering or related field
5-7 years’ experience in Engineering, Quality Assurance, Testing, Compliance, or Customer Service for technical products
Experience with domestic electrical appliances is a strong advantage
Solid understanding of mechanical engineering, plus basic knowledge of electrical and electronic systems
Experience using advanced statistical tools
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential
Proficiency in English & Korean
