Our award-winning client is seeking a Quality Manager to join their team. This role's primary focus is to assess, oversee, and drive the implementation and enhancement of the Quality Management System and continuous improvement initiatives across all facets of the organization, both internally and externally, within the manufacturing site. The position entails substantial engagement with product and manufacturing aspects while emphasizing heightened communication and collaboration with key departments.
Responsibilities:
Manage the development, maintenance, and certification of the Quality Management System according to the ISO 9001 standard, including procedures, processes, and work instructions.
Oversee the capacity and availability of resources, as well as the administration of documentation for all departments related to the ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
Standardize processes for efficiency within Quality Inspection and Test Procedures.
Lead 8D Corrective Action Report activities, including 5Y and Fishbone analysis, and ensure completeness and effectiveness.
Provide training, mentoring, and guidance for team members in operations.
Oversee the reporting of non-conformances, conduct investigations, implement corrective measures, and report findings.
Collect and communicate KPIs related to Quality, identifying trends and causes.
Oversee and develop process improvement strategies and document them.
Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance productivity in areas of quality, cost, performance, and maintenance.
Schedule and perform internal audits, coordinate activities for external audits and administer corrective action requests related to findings.
Ensure timely disposition and issuance of Corrective Action Requests (CARs) for Quality rejects and the RMA process.
Develop and implement a Vendor Management program with supporting metrics.
Oversee ISO and quality training programs for new and existing employees.
Perform additional duties related to the position, including Risk Assessments, PFMEA, Six Sigma, 5S, FOD Prevention, Kaizen, IPC Standards, and understanding UL, CSA, and other regulatory requirements.
Adhere to and contribute to improvements in Health and Safety Rules, demonstrating a commitment to good housekeeping/organizational practices.
Ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Maintain and develop strong working relationships with other departments and outside vendors.
Strive for continuous improvement in all aspects of the work environment, actively participating in company committees, project teams, and relevant job training.
Commit to self-development goals as discussed with your Director and attend company-sponsored training.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in a relevant field with practical work experience.
3+ years of experience in utilizing Infor Syteline ERP systems, specifically with QCS Modules.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Access, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Previous management or supervisory experience.
Understanding of Mechanical and Electrical Manufacturing processes.
