THE TEAM

Join JSM’s European business as we expand our presence across Germany, delivering high-profile infrastructure projects across power and civils.

You’ll be part of a growing, international team, working closely with UK-based SHEQ specialists and local project teams to establish and embed best-in-class quality standards across all operations.

This is a key role in shaping how quality is delivered across JSM’s European projects.

SCOPE OF ROLE

As Quality Manager, you will act as the national lead for Quality across JSM Utility Services (EU) GmbH.

You’ll be responsible for developing and implementing the Quality Management System, ensuring compliance with German regulations, client requirements, and JSM standards across both civil and HV electrical works.

This is a hands-on, site-based leadership role, covering both pre-construction and delivery phases, requiring strong technical knowledge, stakeholder management, and the ability to drive quality performance on live projects.

HOW YOU`LL SUCCEED

🏗 Quality Leadership & Governance

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all Quality-related matters in Germany

  • Lead the development and implementation of the Quality Management System

  • Ensure compliance with German regulations (DIN, VDE), ISO standards and client requirements

  • Drive ISO 9001 certification and support wider ISO accreditations (14001, 45001, 27001)

Pre-Construction & Planning

  • Review subcontractor quality plans and tender submissions

  • Support design teams to embed quality into construction planning

  • Prepare and communicate pre-construction quality documentation

  • Liaise with local authorities, certifiers and client QA representatives

Project Delivery & Assurance

  • Implement and manage Project Quality Plans across all projects

  • Coordinate quality documentation, inspections, and reporting

  • Lead investigations into non-conformances, defects and rework

  • Ensure corrective and preventative actions are implemented effectively

  • Support commissioning, handover, and documentation processes

🤝 Stakeholder & Client Interface

  • Represent JSM on all quality matters with clients and stakeholders

  • Coordinate subcontractor quality performance and reporting

  • Support tender submissions, PQQs and client presentations

WHAT IT TAKES

Essential Experience

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in QA/QC roles within construction, infrastructure or data centre environments

  • Strong knowledge of German regulations and standards (DIN, VDE, ISO 9001)

  • Experience managing quality across MEP, civils or fit-out works

  • Proven experience implementing and managing Quality Management Systems

  • Experience working on live construction projects.

🎓 Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or similar

  • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor / DGQ Quality Manager (or equivalent) highly desirable

🌍 Language

  • Fluent German and English (written and spoken)
