Job Description

Location: Letterkenny - 5 days per week onsite

The QMS Specialist is responsible for the improvement, maintenance, and continuous enhancement of the Quality Management System. Reporting directly to the Quality Manager, this position manages QMS documentation, coordinates and executes internal and external audits, and ensures ongoing certification compliance. The QMS Specialist works cross-functionally with production, EHS, and VOS teams to drive system alignment and continuous improvement.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain, update, and control all QMS documentation (procedures, work instructions, forms)
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute internal audits in accordance with ISO 9001
  • Coordinate external audits and ensure certification readiness
  • Manage Non-Conformity Reports (NCRs) and Corrective Actions, ensuring timely closure
  • Track and follow up on internal and external audit action plans
  • Maintain the Risk and Opportunities register on a regular basis
  • Consolidate specific customer quality requirements per project
  • Coordinate customer visits and quality-related site walkthroughs
  • Supervise and maintain the claim management tool
  • Raise QMS awareness across the site through training and presentations
  • Support process improvement initiatives in collaboration with relevant departments
  • Collaborate with the local VOS team and EHS team on integrated management system activities
  • Support FMEA activities with manufacturing teams
  • Other responsibilities may be assigned from time to time as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Job Qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience in a QMS or Quality Assurance role within a manufacturing environment
  • Certified Internal Auditor ISO 9001
  • English 90%

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 standard
  • Experience in electrical or mechanical engineering manufacturing
  • Experience with document control and audit management systems
  • Knowledge of corrective and preventive action methodologies (e.g., 8D)
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently with initiative and proactivity
  • Computer skills including email, collaboration tools, Excel, Word, and file management
