As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for safeguarding the interests of our end customers, maximizing their investment through high-quality products, and ensuring the effectiveness and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS). Your role is critical in keeping the organization audit-ready, providing data support to the Guadalajara leadership team, and facilitating the resolution of customer quality-related issues. You will have the authority and commitment to guarantee the integrity, compliance, and effectiveness of quality processes at Molex 2.

What You Will Do

  • Administer, maintain, and continuously improve the Quality Management System, ensuring regulatory and customer compliance with a preventive, risk-based approach.
  • Coordinate and execute internal, process, product, customer, certification, and LPA audits.
  • Ensure effective and timely closure of findings, non-conformities, and corrective actions.
  • Lead root cause analyses using 8D, 5 Whys, and Ishikawa methodologies.
  • Facilitate PFMEA sessions and ensure alignment between risks, control plans, work instructions, and operational controls.
  • Manage the creation, updating, and control of quality system documentation.
  • Monitor quality indicators, identify deviations, and propose improvement actions.
  • Train and advise process owners on standards, Core Tools, audits, and problem-solving.
  • Drive initiatives for prevention, standardization, digitalization, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure the organization is consistently prepared for customer and certification audits.

Who You Are (Essential Requirements)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of proven experience in Quality Systems within the automotive industry.
  • Proficient knowledge and practical application of IATF 16949 and ISO 9001; experience in conducting system and process audits.
  • Skilled in the use and application of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plan, MSA, and SPC.
  • Experience in managing non-conformities and structured problem-solving methodologies.
  • Minimum B2 conversational English; able to participate in meetings and technical audits.
  • Certified as an internal auditor for IATF 16949 and VDA 6.3, with valid credentials from a recognized entity.
  • Ability to work on the production floor and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
