Job Description

Core Responsibilities:

  • Maintains individual responsibilities within either Inspection acting as senior employee with appropriate credentials, or is works as a Process Lead determined by Quality Manager.
  • Becomes familiar with work scope of areas assigned as Team Lead. Can provide technical assistance or hands-on help when assigned employees are absent.
  • Assign workload to operators. Responsible for the execution of cross training of employees so they can perform all processes efficiently and accurately.
  • Assists in the process of implementing, evaluating, and training of employees.
  • Conducts layered audits during operation to ensure quality of the process.
  • Functions as a liaison with all other departments ( i.e. Engineering, Quality, Planning, etc.).
  • Provides input to supervisors for performance evaluations of operators.
  • Ensures daily compliance of HS&E, 6S, Quality, and Manufacturing Systems; reporting any issues to the supervisor.
  • Follows all procedures and work instructions. Makes recommendations to improve the processes.
  • Maintains Gemba boards and generation of metrics; follows through to drive completion of actions identified on Gemba boards.
  • Responsible for daily & weekly scheduling of overtime in the department.
  • Responsible for supporting Safety and Environmental Risk Asms and Safety Observations.

Qualifications:

  • Must display leadership traits
  • Ability to communicate verbally or in writing effectively to others;
  • Must foster a positive work environment
  • Must have excellent organization, people skills, and experience working with others effectively; and
  • Familiar with MS Office.

Education Requirements:

  • High School diploma required;
  • Associates degree in technical field preferred.
