Job Description

The primary duty of this position is to assist the Quality Manager in improving the McLanahan Quality Management System (QMS) and to support the quality department where needed.

This position is based on-site at our Hollidaysburg, PA facility.

What You’ll Do

  • Follow direction provided by supervisor or designee.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to, and enforcing, all safety procedures and policies inside and outside the facility, including use of personal protective and McLanahan equipment as required.
  • Represent McLanahan Corporation in a positive manner both internally and externally while adhering to the organization’s core values.
  • Communicate effectively with co-workers, management, customers, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Provide support for maintaining the ISO 9001:2015 Certification.
  • Complete opportunities for improvement identified by third party and internal quality audits.
  • Create and revise quality documents and procedures as directed by the Quality Manager.
  • Analyze historical quality data (warranty, NCMs, goodwill, etc.) to identify trends and potential opportunities for improvement.
  • Support and update Quality information on the OptiSigns system.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent work ethics and willingness to make suggestions to improve the work environment.
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

What You Bring

Education/Qualifications/Experience:

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited 4-year program majoring in an Engineering, Business, or Science related field.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing facility preferred, but not required.

Competencies/ Knowledge/Attributes:

  • Excellent proficiency utilizing MS Office products.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task.
  • Must be comfortable working around machinery within a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Physical Requirements:

This position is typically located in an office setting and requires sitting and standing for long periods of time. The position requires ambulatory skills sufficient to travel domestically. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand, and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, visual acuity to use a keyboard, and operate standard office equipment. Requires the ability to express or exchange ideas by means of both oral and written communication.
