WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Quality Inspector- Packing
Test and inspects products and raw materials at various stages of production process to determine and maintain
quality standards and systems required. Using production expertise, resolves quality issues with the production
operation. Ensure that the product meets customer’s requirements (both internal and external) at each stage of
its manufacturing process, taking corrective action to rectify non-conformance issues where necessary. Report
quality issues data to supervisor, ensuring the Quality Management System is adhered to at all stages.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Carry out thorough independent final inspection of finished assemblies to defined procedures, formally reporting
all defects
• Develops and maintains Quality Control Check List for every operation, process or critical dimension and
attribute of standard products.
• Inspecting and auditing of all components and all stages of the manufacturing process.
• Alerting appropriate stakeholders to defects or deviations to critical dimensions or processes.
Investigate assigned quality issues to identify Nonconformance/deviation and complete appropriate paperwork.
Assist with ensuring issues are addressed and resolved in a timely manner.
• Reports any problems or issues to Quality Supervisor, Quality manager, engineering, and Production
Supervisors. If unable to resolve, elevates to Quality, Production and/or General Manager.
• Participate as required in any inspection meetings with appropriate departments to establish an action
plan for improving build quality.
• In collaboration with Production Supervisors/leads, train/instruct Production employees in proper
construction techniques.
Ensures compliance and assists with adherence to the Quality Management System:
• Recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum.
• Uses existing quality tools such as Non-Conformance Reports and Engineering Change Requests.
• Fills out all quality forms in work order binders and ensures that all production employees are following
quality processes.
• Assists with the completion of nonconformance, deviation, and corrective action forms and processes

QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum of one year of experience on the production floor in Finishing or Welding building product. Two
years preferred.
• One year of related quality experience or training or equivalent education and experience strongly
preferred.
• High School Diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent experience of education and
experience.
• Quality experience in a build-to-suit, non-automated manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
• Experience/understanding of how to follow quality standards, ideally ISO 9001 or similar.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
• Basic computer proficiency; able to write, modify, and edit text using a word processing or other software
application.
• Ability to effectively interact and collaborate with various departments within the organization.
• Proven skills in technical understanding and manufacturing methods and procedures.
• Excellent verbal communication skills; ability to teach and demonstrate fabrication techniques and explain
quality procedures/forms in a clear and concise way in a fast paced dynamic production environment.
• Ability to write simple correspondence and read/comprehend instructions.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts. Ability to apply concepts of basic geometry. Ability to measure
accurately.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables. Ability to interpret a
variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
• Reliable and dedicated; is consistently at work and on time. Demonstrates a willingness to work overtime
if the situation requires it. Makes arrangements in advance to have responsibilities covered prior to taking
time off.
• Ability to maintain effective and professional relationships with co-workers within immediate work group,
outside the immediate department, and with key contacts and clients/vendors outside the company.
