Job Description

SHIFT: Monday - Friday 7am - 330 pm pay starting at 27$ per hour. 
 
Job Purpose:
 
The Quality and Compliance Lead will oversee activity of the quality department and staff, developing, implementing, and maintaining a system of quality and reliability testing for the organization's products and/or development processes. The intent of the role is to identify gaps in compliance to our standards in an effort to promote maximum warehouse efficiencies and an elimination of inbound defects from our customers. This role is critical in team development, training and ensuring consistency amongst all. They will be an integral part of the company's overall quality objectives.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
 
  • Responsible for training and development of new Quality Inspectors
  • Responsible for consistency of QI of hourly Quality Inspector performance
  • Ensures hourly employees have the resources needed to perform job functions
  • Provides candid feedback on day to day Quality Inspector performance as well as providing input on yearly evaulations
  • Performs Inbound Customer Inspections to validate quality of case, pallet and load inbound to RJWResponsible for strategy and execution of departmental cross-training
  • Owns responsibility of driving awareness/education/adherence to Retailer's standards
  • Drive and implement improved processes and conduct special projects as guided by direct leadership
  • Displays ability to lead and develop a team showing all respect and displays an ability to motivate and accomplish goals.
 
Additional Responsibilities:
 
This is an hourly introduction to leadership role and will have direct reports
 
Qualifications:
 
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Must be able to communicate, read, write, and speak English
  • Ability to display proficiency in both oral and written routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ensures compliance to inventory processes and procedures, and contractual obligations.
  • Ability to physically count and validate inventoryUtilize computer terminal/scan gun accurately to document defects identified
 
Education and/or Experience Required:
 
  • High School Diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalency.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Further ability to apply and put that knowledge into action as inspections are performed.Ability to read and write emails.
  • Ability to physically count articles or products on shelves, racks and pallets.Forklift certification a plus.
 
Computer Skills:
 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Preferred: Knowledge and proficiency with RJW WMS
 
Physical Demands:
 
  • While performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear
  • The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and armsMust be able to lift 50 lbs.
