Your mission: You'll be the last set of eyes before a pair of Zellerfeld shoes reaches a customer. Your job is to make sure every shoe meets our standards, document what you find, and share insights with the team so we keep getting better. No engineering background needed — just sharp eyes, good focus, and clear communication.
Inspect shoes at different production stages for visual and structural quality — patterns, finish, consistency
Follow existing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) while helping contribute to making improvements for training and high-quality products
Document findings, track recurring issues, and maintain clear QC logs
Handle rejected pairs — document, report, and help resolve them
Report insights and suggestions back to the product team.
Collaborate with the production team to catch and prevent defects early
Safety First - Always have your and our team’s safety as a top priority
A sharp eye — you notice when something's off, even small details others might miss
Comfortable keeping simple, organized logs and communicating findings clearly
Reliable, proactive, and a team player
We'd love someone who has already done some form of checking or inspection work, even informally — think garment checking, food inspection, product sorting, or similar
A background in footwear, fashion, garments, crafts, or any hands-on role is a plus — no technical degree required
Based in Austin or nearby
Full training from day one — no prior knowledge needed, but a plus
A stable, full-time permanent role
A front-row seat inside one of the most innovative footwear companies in the world
A flat-hierarchy team where your input is genuinely valued
Real growth opportunities as we scale

Zellerfeld is the only technology company that produces a whole 3D-printed shoe with the push of a button. Through an online platform, every designer in the world will have a chance to sell their shoe designs to anyone who wants to express themselves through customized and personalized 3D-printed shoes.
As a team of energetic engineers that develop their printing technologies in-house, we constantly question the status quo to bring overdue change to an undemocratic and unethical footwear industry. With our disruptive approach of 3D printing every shoe out of fully recyclable materials, we regularly excite our currently small group of customers, which range from NBA and Hollywood stars to Elon Musk’s youngest child.
Everything we do happens with the long term in mind. Our actions are guided by decisions that will have a lasting impact. Always with awareness for people and planets.
