Quality Inspector

Pay: $22.00–$25.00 per hour, depending on experience

We’re looking for a detail-oriented, dependable, and motivated Quality Inspector to join our custom rubber manufacturing team. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who enjoys working with precision, solving problems, and learning how things are made.

The right person will bring a strong technical foundation, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. Previous manufacturing or quality inspection experience is a plus, but not required. We value people who are open to learning our products, processes, and quality standards and who take pride in continually improving their skills.

This position offers the opportunity to develop practical experience in quality control, manufacturing, precision measurement, engineering drawings, and problem-solving while working closely with an experienced team.

Schedule

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, between 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM
• Full-time or part-time: We are open to both, depending on your availability and our needs.
• Flexible for students: Part-time scheduling within our operating hours can work well for students balancing classes and other commitments.

Responsibilities

As a Quality Inspector, you’ll help ensure that our products meet specifications throughout the manufacturing process. You’ll also have an opportunity to learn our products and processes and contribute ideas as you become familiar with the operation.

• Read and interpret mechanical and engineering drawings to determine product specifications and quality requirements.
• Perform in-process and final inspections of custom rubber products.
• Use precision measurement equipment, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection tools.
• Learn and apply company-specific inspection methods, procedures, and quality standards.
• Work with management and engineering to identify quality concerns and help develop effective inspection criteria.
• Review inspection and statistical data to monitor product quality and consistency.
• Document inspection results and identify products that do not meet established requirements.
• Assist with root-cause analysis and corrective actions when quality issues arise.
• Review and validate quality data and flag deviations from established standards.
• Maintain accurate inspection, testing, and quality records.
• Communicate quality concerns clearly and work collaboratively with the team to resolve them.
• Look for opportunities to improve accuracy, consistency, and efficiency as you gain experience.

Qualifications

We’re looking for someone who is curious, detail-oriented, dependable, and willing to learn. You should be comfortable asking questions, learning from others, and taking ownership of your work.

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and engineering drawings.
• Experience using precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection equipment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good math, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team.
• Willingness to learn our products, processes, and quality standards.

Experience & Skills That Are a Plus

• Previous experience in manufacturing, quality inspection, or a related field.
• 2+ years of manufacturing or quality inspection experience.
• Experience in rubber manufacturing or a similar manufacturing environment.
• Technical training or quality-related certifications.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office or quality management systems.

We don’t expect you to know everything on day one. We’re looking for someone with the right foundation and attitude who is willing to learn our way of doing things, develop new skills, and grow into greater responsibility over time.

Physical & Work Environment

This is a hands-on manufacturing position. The role requires:

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Manual dexterity to operate inspection and measurement equipment.
• Comfort working in a manufacturing environment around noise, machinery, and rubber materials.
