Location: PT Tech – Wadsworth, OH

A Quality Inspector performs an array of functions including but not limited to performing Quality and Engineering inspections of products and components.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Enabling and disabling the inspection demands for incoming products
  • Perform dimensional, geometric, and cosmetic quality inspections with coordinate measuring systems, basic hand gauges, and ascertaining compliance to stated specifications
  • Manage nonconformance discoveries and follow established processes for segregation, quarantine, reaction plan and final disposition
  • Coordinate with SQD to manage outside vendors and internal departments to resolve NCM issues
  • Monitor Supplier complaints and corrective actions to reduce NCMs and improve the PT Tech Business Quality Management System with SQD Process
  • Improve the effectiveness of our process and quality objectives
  • Complete, utilize and train on required Quality Process training initiatives
  • Creating, maintaining, and publishing Quality metrics and statistics to team conducting supplier evaluations
  • Perform Internal QMS Audits as a qualified Auditor
  • SAP goods movement reconciliations

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree
  • Proficient in Microsoft and SAP
  • 3+ years’ experience with inspection or quality auditing
  • Familiar with measurement software (CMM, Romer, etc.)
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and engineering specifications
  • Basic Mathematical Skills required with focus on Manufacturing Statistical methodologies
  • Must be eligible to work in the US

  • Ability to work independently and self-manage activities to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skill
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
