Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Quality Inspection Technician to join our team at ONICON. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting incoming materials and maintaining the inspection program. This position performs dimensional and visual inspections; documents results; identifies nonconforming products; and supports corrective actions and continuous improvement.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Perform dimensional inspections using calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, thread gauges, and other measurement equipment.
• Check machined parts for critical dimensions, tolerances, threads, surface finish, burrs, damage, cleanliness, and workmanship
• Review and maintain material certifications, certificates of conformance, test reports, and any other supporting documentation.
• Follow established sampling plans.
• Record inspection results accurately.
• Notify Quality personnel of supplier-related quality concerns.
• Support supplier corrective-action requests and verify replacement or reworked material.
• Maintain the calibration status and proper condition of inspection equipment.
• Maintain an organized incoming-inspection and quarantine area.
• Follow all company safety, quality and material handling procedures.
• All other related duties as required.

Knowledge and Skills Requirement:

• Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality-system requirements
• Calibration and measurement traceability
• Experience in Dimensional and Geometric Metrology
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, and specifications.
• Comfortable using computers and entering accurate information into quality systems.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with engineering and quality personnel.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Technical certificate or associate degree in manufacturing, metrology, electronics, or related field.
• Previous experience in incoming inspection, and quality control.
