Job Description

We are seeking a Quality Inspection (CMM & NDT, Machined Parts) to join our federal team at our York, PA location. This is a hands-on role supporting the inspection and testing of precision components used in mission-critical Navy systems. Pay: $35.45 / Hour
Shift: 1st

As a Quality Inspection (CMM & NDT, Machined Parts) , you will:

  • Inspect parts and assemblies using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
  • Verify products meet engineering drawings and specifications
  • Perform visual and mechanical inspections to ensure quality and accuracy
  • Support testing processes, including non-destructive testing (training provided if needed)
  • Assist with CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) inspections (training provided)
  • Document inspection results and report any issues or non-conforming parts
  • Work closely with manufacturing teams to help resolve quality concerns and improve processes

Required Qualifications:

  • 1–3+ years of experience in manufacturing, production, or quality inspection
  • Basic experience using measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
  • Ability to read basic drawings or work instructions
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
  • Comfortable working in a hands-on shop environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with CMM inspection
  • Exposure to non-destructive testing (NDT) methods
  • Familiarity with quality processes or inspection documentation


Preferred Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Technical training or certification in manufacturing or quality is a plus

Johnson Controls Navy Systems is a part of the Johnson Controls Federal Systems business. Our robust, high reliability products are designed, manufactured and tested in York, PA to military and other stringent customer specifications.
