Job Description

Under direct supervision, the Quality Inspector I is responsible for, but not limited to, performing inspections of components, subassemblies, and finished product in accordance with company procedures to ensure total customer satisfaction.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with the identification of quality problems and report to immediate supervisor
• Perform final shipment audits.
• Verify equipment set-up and performance.
• Perform Receiving Inspection on vendor raw materials to verify conformance to LT standards. Communicate with vendors concerning quality issues. Set up and maintain inspection records as required.
• Set up and maintain Inspection records of all manufactured product and tooling to demonstrate that the product meets customer requirements and all required inspections were performed.
• Assists with in-process and final inspection of manufactured product as required.
• Adheres to quality and safety systems or maintenance of quality and safety standards.

REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to read and interpret drawings.
• Ability to accurately use inspection tools.
• Good communication skills.
• Fundamental knowledge of mathematical concepts.
• Close attention to detail.
• Must have good or corrected eyesight to insure quality of work.
• Ability to use hands for repetitive wrist, hand, finger motions, and keyboarding.
• Ability to lift and carry 20 pounds frequently.
• One / two years inspection experience desired.
