Job Opening: Quality Improvement Engineer (QIE)

Location: Delhi NCR
Travel: Flexible to travel across India

We are seeking an experienced Quality Improvement Engineer (QIE) to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge of Fashion Apparels & Home Soft Textile products, hands‑on inspection expertise, and a proactive approach toward continuous quality improvement across vendors and factories.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct in‑line, end‑line, and final inspections as per AQL standards
  • Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality parameters and buyer requirements
  • Participate in Pre‑Production Meetings (PPM) and review PP, GPT, size‑set, and shipment samples
  • Coordinate with vendors and factories to resolve quality issues effectively
  • Perform root cause analysis, implement CAPA, and ensure preventive actions
  • Track defect trends, quality KPIs, and follow‑up on improvement plans
  • Prepare and share accurate, clear, and professional inspection reports
  • Ensure correct implementation of buyer SOPs, quality manuals, and specifications
  • Support vendor capability assessment and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Verify packing standards, labelling, barcodes, assortment, and carton quality
  • Assist in shipment readiness and ensure on‑time delivery support
  • Work closely with TD, Sourcing, RMT teams, and vendors
  • Conduct technical audits and basic compliance checks as required

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma or Degree in Textile Engineering, Apparel Technology, or a related field
  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in Quality Assurance / Quality Control within the Apparel and Home Soft Textile industry
  • Strong hands‑on experience with Home Soft Textile products (bedding, curtains, cushions, throws, quilts, towels, etc.)
  • Experience working with buying houses / agencies or direct coordination with international buyers is highly preferred
  • Exposure to handling multiple vendors and product categories simultaneously
  • Experience in a fast‑paced buying office environment is an advantage

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of fabric behaviour, garment construction, trims, and finishing
  • Proficiency in AQL standards, 4‑Point Fabric Inspection System, and measurement audits
  • Understanding of product safety requirements and industry compliance standards
  • Knowledge of testing requirements (color fastness, shrinkage, performance tests, etc.)
  • Ability to review lab test reports and identify non‑conformities
  • Awareness of social & environmental compliance norms (BSCI, SEDEX, ISO, etc.)
  • Familiarity with quality documentation, SOPs, inspection checklists
  • Basic proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and reporting tools

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills to liaise with buyers, vendors, factories, and internal teams
  • Detail‑oriented, organized, and proactive with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight timelines
  • Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills
  • High levels of integrity and ethics in quality decision‑making
  • Ability to push back diplomatically while maintaining quality standards
  • Efficient time management and task prioritization skills

Location & Travel

  • Base Location: Delhi NCR
  • Must be flexible to travel across India to factories and vendor locations as required
