Job Description

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Lead and manage safety, health, and quality management systems.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT/FMCSA (if applicable), and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Understanding of all U.S. State Regulatory QHS agencies and their respective requirements.
  • Maintain ISO 9001:2015 and 45001 program competencies and support certification activities.
  • Conduct internal audits, inspections, risk assessments, and corrective action tracking.
  • Support lead for incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions.
  • Develop and deliver safety training programs.
  • Monitor KPI metrics including TRIR, LTIR, near misses, and corrective action closure rates.
  • Support emergency preparedness planning and business continuity plans and efforts.
  • Manage regulatory reporting, documentation retention, and compliance records.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's, associate degree and/ OR a Minimum of 5 years of experience managing occupational safety programs in general industry, warehousing, manufacturing, logistics, or supply chain environments.
  • Strategy and planning: must possess an ability to think ahead and plan over a 12–24- month time span as well as strong client orientation and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must possess knowledge and expertise in project/program management, budgeting, portfolio management methodologies, and tools.
  • ISO 45001 standard expertise.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA standards, hazard communication, lockout/tagout, machine guarding, PPE, ergonomics, heat illness prevention, industrial hygiene principles, and incident investigation methodologies.
  • Experience leading safety committees and behavior-based safety initiatives.
  • Experience conducting audits, inspections, and compliance assessments.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA recordkeeping requirements.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and safety management software systems.
  • Proficiency with AI, Jira, Origami and Alert Media programs.

  • ISO 9001:2015 internal auditor certification
  • OSHA 30 Certification
  • OSHA 510 and 511
  • California OSHA 10 or 30 certification
  • Construction safety certification
  • Dangerous Goods Certifications 49CFR, IATA and IMDG
  • First Aid / CPR / AED certification

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Talking, hearing and using hands to operate computer equipment
  • Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to walk a 1.2M sq. ft warehouse and operational environments, climb stairs/ladders as required, lift to 25 pounds occasionally, and wear required PPE.
  • Travel as job requires. Remote position.
