Job Description

Reports to: Supervisor and or Manager

Under the direction of the Supervisor or Manager, the group leader is a non-supervisory member of the work group. The GL/TL (group leader / team leader) is responsible for the work product of the team. They are responsible for ensuring adherence to safety, quality, quantity, housekeeping, and company policies, procedures and 5's standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Organizes QA Technician work for smooth operation including problem analysis/solutions and reports process and equipment concerns..
  • Responsible for all assigned processes and employees in meeting established standards.
  • Supports effective scrap and cost reduction programs.
  • Performs a variety of activities requiring communication and support to other departments and performs all other work related activities as required.
  • Must be able to perform all other jobs in assigned work areas in case of employee absence.
  • Interacts with Internal customers.
  • Meets quality and quantity levels of assigned work, housekeeping, and safe work practice.
  • Generates reports, graphs and charts as needed.
  • Oversees data collection and interpretation to coordinate improvement efforts.
  • Monitors process control reports for out of spec and/or out of control conditions and notifies the proper personnel to coordinate corrective activities.
  • Support the implementation, achievement, and maintenance of the Quality and Environmental Policies and Procedures

Education:

  • High School Education or GED

Experience:

  • 2 years or more in the QA field
  • Must be able to judge color visually and must pass the Farnsworth-Munsell 100 Hue test yearly and pass test with a minimum score of 50
  • Knowledge of Windows operating system and with Microsoft Office Suite

  • Sets the example in attendance, work safety, and housekeeping

Work Environment: This job operates in an manufacturing environment, and routinely uses standard office equipment. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud, but are compliant with OSHA standards.

Physical Demands: This job requires standing for long periods of time , reaching, talking handling objects with hands, walking stooping/kneeling/crouching/crawling, and lifting up to 40 lbs : Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print or electronically.
