Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Manager to join our dynamic team in Hazelwood, MO!
The manager will own Quality engineering and program processes and activities, oversee nonconformance handling, and act as the primary liaison with our customers.
Position responsibilities:
Manages employees performing quality engineering and technical activities on or in support of programs through all phases of the product lifecycle.
Develops and executes business plans, policies, procedures and strategies to maintain and improve organizational and quality system performance.
Develops quality strategies and plans in support of new business acquisition and execution of program/business plans. Provides education and coaching on the Quality System.
Acquires and manages resources, provides quality technical management and leads performance improvements.
Manages employees that develop and maintain quality processes and systems in support of effective and efficient quality system.
Develops and administers directives, policies, processes and procedures activities to assure program/contract, company, customer/government, regulatory requirements, international standards, and working agreements are deployed.
Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
Oversees review of technical information to ensure quality and producibility.
Manages, develops and motivates employees.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR completion of the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”
Bachelor's Degree
More than 5 years of experience working in production and/or manufacturing environment
More than 3 years of experience in Nonconformance Processing
Experience leading key process, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives
More than 5 years of experience in the application of AS9100
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
More than 5 years of experience working with quality systems (e.g., Boeing Quality Management System (BQMS), International Organization for Standardization (ISO9001), Aerospace Standard (AS9100))
Commercial derivative or military aircraft maintenance experience
