
The Quality Engineer Specialist – Operational Excellence supports and administers critical processes across the organization, administers the certification program for these processes, coordinates changes with the Design and Process Engineering teams, and trains key stakeholders across all facilities delivering training developed under existing standards and direction. Mentors and supports Plant Personnel, Quality Technicians, and Supervisors. Supports QMS by expertly performing critical quality duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Auditing and updating the current program.
Developing necessary documentation, including needed Work Instructions.
Standardize like processes across the facilities as directed.
Collaborating with the Design and Process Engineering Teams on best practices and design intent.
Coordinating process changes across the facilities to ensure required quality documents are updated.
Collaborate with the Quality Supervisors to ensure alignment with LPAs and Control Plans are tied in with the Certified Processes.
Expand the program to include key critical to quality processes across the company.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
Must be able to follow instructions and offer suggestions on how to improve production.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as drawings, specifications and procedure manuals
Work to ensure the department’s quality and production requirements will be met.
Timely and accurately performed work.
Development of positive working relationships
EDUCATION:
Additional Professional Certifications preferred. No advanced or specialized degree required.
EXPERIENCE:
3+ year of manufacturing experience
1+ year of QA experience preferred
COMPUTER SKILLS:
MS Office
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing duties of this job, the employee is sometimes required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, keyboards, or keypads. The employee is frequently required to talk, hear, and to reach with hands and arms. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move boxes or products of 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this includes close vision. Employee must be able to be on feet for long periods of time as needed to perform inspection duties of in-process product. Normal factory conditions that at times may include heat, cold, dust and noise.
Will work within company and customer facilities and within a vehicle and construction sites.
