Phillips-Medisize, a Molex company, is seeking a Quality Engineer & Supervisor to drive manufacturing excellence through quality leadership, continuous improvement, and compliance with customer and regulatory requirements within our Metal Injection Molding operations located in Menomonie, WI. This role combines technical quality expertise with team leadership, requiring strong problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills to develop people, improve processes, and ensure products consistently meet customer and business expectations.

What You Will Do

  • Supervise, coach, and develop Quality team member to ensure effective execution of responsibilities, continuous professional growth, and achievement of business objectives.
  • Partner with suppliers and cross-functional teams to ensure quality requirements are effectively implemented, monitored, and maintained throughout all phases of product realization.
  • Serve as the quality resource for Advanced Quality Planning (AQP) activities, including but not limited to, interpretation of engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements; development of risk assessments, PFMEA, control plans, inspection methods, measurement systems, inspection plans, process validation, and First Article Inspection (FAI); and application of precision measurement equipment to ensure product and process quality from product launch through sustaining production.
  • Serve as the primary quality contact and escalation point for internal manufacturing quality concerns, facilitating effective communication and issue resolution across functions.
  • Serve as the primary quality contact for customer complaints, leading investigations of nonconforming material, and other quality issues through effective root cause analysis, corrective actions, and cross-functional problem resolution.
  • Manage daily quality operations, including quality notifications, nonconforming material, blocked stock, change control activities, and escalation of significant quality risks.
  • Monitor and analyze quality performance metrics, leading initiatives to improve process capability, increase yield, reduce defects, and minimize scrap, rework, and nonconforming material.
  • Ensure compliance with quality management system requirements, customer-specific requirements, and applicable industry standards by supporting internal, customer, and registrar audits and driving corrective actions in accordance with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 requirements.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • 1+ years of experience leading projects, teams, or employees in a manufacturing environment.
  • 2+ years of working experience in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience applying quality systems and root cause analysis methodologies (e.g., CAPA, 8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone, FMEA) to identify and resolve manufacturing or quality issues.
  • Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
