Position Purpose

Coordinate and ensure the implementation of all quality processes, controls, standards, and requirements necessary for the transfer of manufacturing operations to a new location, guaranteeing plant readiness before start-up and throughout production stabilization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and execution of the quality transfer strategy.
  • Ensure the implementation of Control Plans, P-FMEA, acceptance criteria, and process validation activities.
  • Coordinate process, product, and system audits.
  • Manage testing, inspections, Factory Routine Tests (FRT), and first production validations.
  • Lead problem-solving activities using NCR, RCA, CAPA, 8D, 5 Why's, and Ishikawa methodologies.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and other applicable standards.
  • Coordinate training and knowledge transfer activities for personnel at the new location.
  • Serve as the primary quality point of contact for all transfer-related activities.

Key Deliverables

  • Quality Master Plan for the transfer project.
  • Updated Control Plans and P-FMEA documentation.
  • Audit plans and audit results.
  • Testing and validation plans and results.
  • NCR, RCA, CAPA, and 8D tracking and closure.
  • Training records and competency certification evidence.
  • Quality release report for production start-up.
  • Support for certifications such as UL, CSA, ABS, and ISO.

Required Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Quality Engineering within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in product/process transfer, industrialization, or relocation projects.
  • Strong background in quality systems, audits, and problem-solving methodologies.
  • Experience in electrical, automotive, aerospace, or engineered product manufacturing is preferred.

Technical Knowledge

  • ISO 9001:2015.
  • APQP, Control Plans, and P-FMEA.
  • CAPA, RCA, 8D, and quality improvement tools.
  • Process, product, and system auditing.
  • SPC, Pareto Analysis, Histograms, and data analysis.
  • Process and equipment validation.
