About the Role:

We are looking for a Quality Engineer R&D – Conformity of Product (CoP) to join our Quality Management R&D team in Lousado. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end CoP process, ensuring product compliance, driving quality assurance measures, and contributing to continuous improvement across all tire product groups.

This is a key position within our R&D Product Review activities - supporting global collaboration, data-driven decision making, and robust process governance.

Main Responsibilities:

  • CoP Process Management: develop and maintain verification rules, manage test plans, lead escalation meetings with trend analysis to drive continuous improvement;
  • Business Module Ownership: own the CoP IT module, align key users on process/system updates, validate changes through UAT, and provide training and documentation;
  • Data Evaluation & Reporting: maintain and enhance KPI reporting, analyze performance trends, ensure data quality, and support global teams with BI tools;
  • Process Improvement: support continuous improvement of Product Review processes, ensure process/tool alignment, and maintain QMS documentation;
  • Lead or support projects, task forces, SPS activities;
  • Conduct internal trainings related to Product Review and CoP processes.

Qualifications

  • University degree in an Analytical, Engineering or Business related field;
  • Understanding of quality and compliance standards (IATF 16949, ISO 17025, ISO 37301);
  • Basic knowledge of tire development, logistics, and manufacturing processes;
  • Certification as IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 auditor, is a plus;
  • Initial experience in quality-related tasks (industry or academia);
  • Experience in Tires R&D is beneficial, not mandatory;
  • Basic familiarity data analytics and data reporting with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI) (preferred);
  • Experience working in an international environment (preferred);
  • Strong logical reasoning and sound decision‑making skills;
  • Project management skills;
  • Proficient English language skills (verbal and written).
