Hitachi Energy is looking for a Quality Engineerto join our Jefferson City, Missouri team and play a key role in strengthening product quality and process performance. In this role, you will be at the center of manufacturing excellence—partnering closely with production teams to ensure processes meet internal, customer, and regulatory quality standards.

This is an opportunity to apply advanced quality engineering knowledge to real‑world manufacturing challenges. You will analyze data, investigate deviations, and translate insights into tangible process improvements. From supporting test failure resolution to conducting onsite audits, your work will help prevent defects, reduce risk, and drive consistency across operations.

Support plant operations on an off-shift (11:30 AM – 7:30 PM) as a Quality Engineer, acting as the primary point of contact for all quality-related activities during this timeframe. This role ensures consistent product quality by overseeing inspections, addressing production issues, driving root cause analysis, and supporting continuous improvement efforts. Partnering closely with operations, the Quality Engineer helps maintain compliance with standards and ensures timely resolution of quality concerns to keep production running smoothly.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Partner with manufacturing teams to meet customer quality requirements

  • Analyze customer feedback and identify improvement opportunities

  • Support test failure investigations and resolution activities

  • Monitor and mitigate manufacturing process risks

  • Maintain and update PFMEA documentation

  • Interpret quality data and recommend process enhancements

  • Conduct root cause analyses using structured problem‑solving tools

  • Perform onsite quality audits and provide improvement training

Your Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical Engineering preferred)

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in quality or manufacturing roles

  • Experience applying Lean systems and continuous improvement tools

  • Strong analytical skills with failure analysis and FMEA experience

  • Hands‑on experience with root cause analysis methodologies

  • Valid authorization to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States
