Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to drive risk-based validation and ensure the quality, reliability, and real-world performance of our web applications, including responsive mobile experiences.

This role goes beyond traditional testing. You will partner across the SDLC to identify risks early, validate design decisions, and ensure systems behave as expected in real-world conditions. You will play a key role in evolving how we approach quality—shifting from test execution to a layered validation model that emphasizes prevention, design resilience, and system-level confidence.

The ideal candidate brings strong experience in modern quality practices, a systems mindset, and the ability to challenge assumptions, improve validation strategies, and help teams transition to a more proactive, risk-driven approach to quality

Key Responsibilities:

Risk & Early Validation

  • Identify and challenge risks early by contributing to requirement and design reviews, including failure mode analysis
  • Ensure requirements are clear, testable, and aligned with expected system behavior

Validation Strategy & Execution

  • Define and execute risk-based validation strategies across automated and exploratory testing
  • Ensure validation coverage reflects real-world usage and risk—not just test count

System-Level Quality & Confidence

  • Validate end-to-end system behavior and uncover gaps through exploratory testing
  • Assess and communicate quality risks to support informed release decisions

Collaboration & Enablement

  • Partner with engineering, product, and UX to embed quality throughout the SDLC
  • Support developer-owned quality through effective unit and integration testing

Continuous Improvement & AI Enablement

  • Leverage AI tools to improve test design, coverage, and insight into gaps
  • Continuously improve validation approaches and contribute to evolving quality practices

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in software quality engineering, with a focus on web applications
  • Strong understanding of modern quality practices, including risk-based validation and test strategy
  • Experience with both automated and exploratory testing approaches
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with modern test automation tools (e.g., Playwright, Cypress, Selenium)
  • Familiarity with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, REST clients)
  • Experience contributing to CI/CD pipelines and build validation processes
  • Exposure to performance, load, or security testing
  • Experience testing responsive/mobile web applications
  • Experience leveraging AI tools to improve testing or validation practices
