The Supply Chain Quality Engineer I role provides hands-on experience in aerospace manufacturing, supplier quality, and continuous improvement while working alongside experienced engineers and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities
What You’ll Do
- Support supplier quality activities, including supplier performance reviews, audits, and improvement initiatives
- Assist with root cause investigations and corrective actions using structured problem-solving methods
- Support nonconformance management and quality documentation activities
- Analyze quality data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
- Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams to resolve quality issues
- Support internal audits and Quality Management System (QMS) activities
- Provide hands-on support on the manufacturing floor to help identify and resolve quality concerns

Work Structure
- Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Primarily office-based with regular time on the manufacturing floor
- Approximately 10% travel for supplier visits and quality support
- PPE required when working in production areas
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or a related technical field; equivalent manufacturing experience may be considered
- 0–2 years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, internships, or co-op experience preferred
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications
- Aerospace or regulated manufacturing experience
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, or AS9102 standards
- Experience with GD&T and dimensional inspection methods
- Exposure to supplier quality, audits, corrective actions, or quality systems
- Experience with SPC, advanced Excel tools, CMM, CATIA, Verisurf, or Romer Arm
Technical Skills
- Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and PowerPoint required)
- Ability to learn ERP/MRP and quality management systems
Work Environment
This role works in both office and manufacturing environments and requires regular interaction with the production floor. Appropriate PPE must be worn when working in manufacturing areas.
