Job Description

As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of a range of Resideo sensing and control solutions. In this role, you will work with both electronic assemblies and finished products, from PCB control boards through to complete thermostats and heat pump control solutions.

We are looking for someone with experience working with electronic products who can understand schematics and confidently navigate a printed circuit board. JOB DUTIES:

• Lead root cause investigations and drive effective corrective and preventive actions based on data analysis
• Investigate and resolve quality issues occurring on electronic assembly and final product manufacturing lines
• Implement, verify, and monitor corrective actions resulting from customer complaints and internal quality findings
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and other project activities from concept and development through production release
• Review and interpret technical documentation, schematics, drawings, specifications, and manufacturing requirements
• Make data-driven decisions and confidently present and defend conclusions while collaborating with cross-functional teams
• Drive scrap reduction and Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) improvements through analysis and continuous improvement activities
• Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and other departments to improve product and process quality
• Support process validation, qualification activities, and implementation of quality standards across production

YOU MUST HAVE:

• Education or practical experience within electronics, electronic engineering, or a related technical field
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings, specifications and electronic documentation, with a good understanding of electronic components, PCBs, assemblies and associated manufacturing processes
• Working knowledge of quality methodologies and tools, including 8D, FMEA and Control Plans
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset, including advanced Microsoft Excel skills for analysis and reporting
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across different functions and organisational levels
• English language skills at B1 level or higher

WE VALUE:

• Experience with SMT/P&P, axial, and radial assembly manufacturing processes
• Knowledge of IPC standards (IPC-A-610, IPC J-STD-001, etc.)
• Practical experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
• Basic understanding of product compliance and certification requirements, such as CE, UL, and CSA
• Familiarity with electronics testing, failure analysis, and troubleshooting techniques
