Quality Engineer

Location (Hybrid, permanent/full-time): Hefei

What are your main tasks you can expect?

  • 1.Project Quality Planning and Requirements Translation: Coordinate quality planning for new projects, identify customer needs, and translate them into actionable project quality requirements to establish a foundation for quality objectives.
  • 2.Quality Plan Development and Dynamic Tracking: Develop quality work plans, define milestones and responsible parties, track progress, update plans as needed, and initiate corrective actions to ensure projects proceed as expected.
  • 3. Quality Documentation and Standards Management: Lead the preparation and review of quality documentation; participate in the development of FMEA and control plans; take independent responsibility for inspection instructions to ensure standards are clear and actionable.
  • 4.Project Quality Engagement and Risk Management: Participate throughout the entire project lifecycle; assess quality risks; organize phase reviews; track issue resolutions; and intervene proactively to ensure quality remains under control.
  • 5.Management of Customer Approval Documents: Submit key documents such as PPAP (including phase-specific materials and work instructions), ensure compliance with requirements and successful approval, and secure approval for mass production
  • 6. End-to-End Handling of Customer Complaints Throughout the Product Lifecycle: Lead complaint management, receive and evaluate complaints, organize investigations to analyze root causes, develop and implement corrective and preventive actions, and track progress to optimize and improve customer satisfaction.
  • 7. Inspection Resource Management: Coordinate the end-to-end management of inspection fixtures and test tools; oversee their design, fabrication, and acceptance to ensure equipment meets testing requirements and provides hardware support.
  • 8. Quality Issue Emergency Response and Corrective/Preventive Actions: Initiate containment measures when quality issues arise; notify relevant parties to develop corrective and preventive action plans; oversee implementation and verify effectiveness to prevent recurrence and ensure stability.
  • 9. Planning Quality-Related Audits and Certification Support: For audits such as IATF 16949, CQC, annual customer audits, and audits at various project stages, assist in organizing and preparing documentation (plans, FMEA, PPAP), participate in audit communications, track corrective actions and process optimization, and ensure compliance with requirements.
  • 10. Participation in Continuous Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement activities, assist in optimizing workflows and quality control methods, and drive systematic improvements to the overall quality system.
  • 11. Monitor internal and external quality costs, promptly identify issues arising from the production process, drive improvements across internal departments, monitor the effectiveness of these improvements, and reduce quality costs.

What qualifications do you bring with you?

  • 1. Application of Quality Tools: Proficient in preparing quality documents such as FMEA, control plans, and PPAP.
  • 2. Project Management: Capable of planning project quality, conducting risk assessments, and collaborating across departments.
  • 3. Problem Solving: Skilled in root cause analysis and developing corrective and preventive actions.
  • 4. Customer Liaison: Experienced in translating customer requirements and handling complaints; strong communication and coordination skills.
  • 5. Good English language skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
  • 6. Proficient in using office software such as Microsoft Office.
