Job Description

Summary:

To maintain a steady flow of products to internal / external Customers in a quality and safe method at minimal cost

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  1. Customer contact and response for quality issues in a professional and time effective manner.
  2. On site support and service to Customers, Customer Third party representatives and any and all certification bodies.
  3. New project prototype validations with Customer, using Product Quality Planning tools such as FAI’s, PPAP’s, Gage R&R’s, Work Instructions, and any other appropriate tools.
  4. Coordinate and facilitate cross functional teams for 8D/CAPA Processes including containment, brainstorming and cause and effects and action item follow through.
  5. Collect and distribute Customer Quality Scorecards (Quality, Warranty, On-time delivery) and other feedback to relevant departments
  6. Handle and analyze Return Material Authorizations (RMA)
  7. Prepare Weekly/Monthly Customer Quality Status Reports
  8. Provide Quality Process Training and review
  9. Facilitate and audit 5S activities on the factory floor
  10. Perform Internal and External audits per ISO and/or other Quality standard requirements
  11. Develop incoming material control plans and coordinate with suppliers and Customers as necessary
  12. Perform supplier selection and Management, using APQP and PPAP methodology
  13. Develop and manage Supplier Performance Record.
  14. Assess and review Supplier Corrective Action Plans
  15. Conduct/Participate in MRB and lead any identified actions
  16. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  1. Minimum of AS degree in a technical discipline desired, ASQ, CQT or CQE preferred
  2. Minimum 3 years in an industrial environment as a manufacturing or Quality Professional required.
  3. Experience in ISO and AS preferred.
  4. Ability to read blueprints/drawings and perform Quality Inspection with mechanical/functional gaging and test equipment
  5. Demonstrated use and understanding of analytical problem solving tools preferred.
  6. Demonstrated use and understanding of Six Sigma Techniques preferred.
  7. Knowledge of welding techniques and standards such as AWS D1.1, 1.2, EN and ISO standards desired
  8. Knowledge and use of ISO 9001 desired
